April is here!

April in DC is AWESOME! I'm loving it down here more and more each day. The Cherry Blossoms are out and there are festivities in honor of the cherry blossoms for almost the whole month. I've see alot of different parts of DC so far and cant wait until the Parade in a couple weeks. Im so excited for this Saturday because we are going to NYC. It's Chris' first time in NYC so its going to be really cool to show him around. I've been busy entering myself in different writing competitions here at Gallaudet. I dont know if I have won anything as of yet. We shall see. I feel accomplished already having three poems published and three stories in the last two years. I'm trying to keep up with the newspaper here. Havent been consistent but I try my best. Love getting to know my friends from different countries and learning their cultures and different foods. Im still learning new ASL signs everyday and cant wait to show them off lol I dont want this semester to end at all. Gallaudet is definitely felt like another home to me. It's been a great three months thus far.
